"I recently took part in the Clothes Don't Maketh The Man program, and it was truly eye-opening. I learned so much about the importance of supporting local businesses, especially in a country like India.
Before the program, I used to shop at big brands and fast fashion outlets, thinking that they were the best options available. But as I learned more about the impact of my consumer choices, I realized that local businesses have a lot to offer. They contribute to the local economy, provide employment opportunities, and preserve traditional art forms. By buying from them, I can make a positive impact in my community and support a more sustainable future.
During the program, we had the chance to visit local artisans and small businesses and learn about their craft. It was incredible to see the passion and dedication they put into their work and the impact they had on their community. We also learned about ethical and sustainable consumption and how it can benefit our environment and society.
Since completing the program, I've been actively seeking out local businesses and artisans and promoting them to my friends and family. I've also started sharing my experiences on social media to spread awareness about the importance of supporting local businesses.
I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Clothes Don't Maketh The Man program and for the knowledge and skills it has given me. I'm excited to continue my journey towards a more sustainable and responsible future and to inspire others to do the same."
